So im currentlu working on a school project and implementing a geocaching component. However i have not cached with anyone and would be curious to know some of the techniques and observation methods you all use in preperation for caching and during the hunt. Specifically what is it you find that most cachers take into consideration when placing or looking for a cache? also if your GPSR isnt revceiving a good signal how is it that you use Dead Reckoning in your guest for the cache! any and all input would be helpful.

For me when i go out for a cache i generally find 2-3 in the area i will be hunting at. This could be on a walk i take or just along a transit route to school. If the muggle capacity is too high i will generally skip it for another time.
